While the hype surrounding quad core processors has surely died down since the Mobile World Congress back in February, Samsung has just flipped the script and brought quad cores back to relevance. Samsung has announced that a 1.4GHz Exynos quad core processor will be running their upcoming flagship phone, the Samsung Galaxy S III. Samsung says that the new quad core processor will have double the power of their current processors.
Hankil Yoon, Senior VP of Product Strategy Team at Samsung explained that,
“Samsung’s next Galaxy device, which will be officially announced soon, offers uncompromised performance and ground breaking multitasking features, thanks to Exynos 4 Quad’s powerful performance and efficient energy management technology.”
With such strong words coming from Samsung, we are currently on the edge of our seats eagerly awaiting the official announcement. We can’t wait, how about you?
