Motorola sure did start the day off on a bang with news of the Droid RAZR as well as the MOTOACTV. The Droid RAZR takes the concept of the original thin RAZR and brings it into the future with amazing specs to highlight its slender build. Measured at a razor thin 7.1mm it is downright slim compared to any phone. The RAZR is not only thin but light as well only weighing 127 grams. Though this phone is light and thin it is no pushover, the RAZR packs a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor courtesy of Texas Instrument. The 1GB of RAM inside this baby allows it to zip through apps without a hitch. Gorilla Glass protects the 4.3 qHD Super ALMOED display screen as well as Motorola’s Splash Guard. At the moment the RAZR is running on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, however, with Google’s rumored Ice Cream Sandwich event in Hong Kong this may soon be changing. The RAZR has a Kevlar finish on the back, where you will find a 8 megapixel camera on the backside of the RAZR capable of recording 1080p. The RAZR come with 16GB of internal storage and 16GB of additional storage on the microSD card. The RAZR will be coming to Verizon and will be joining the fast growing 4G LTE family. Motorola has really outdone themselves with this phone, assembling not one but two laptop docks alongside of a plethora of other accessories that will be released alongside of the device.
The Droid RAZR is a complete beast that can only be tamed by the pockets of one’s skinny jeans. Expect this device to be priced at $299 on a two-year contract with pre-orders on Verizon starting October 27th.
