With the popular photo app, Instagram making its way to Android just a little over a week ago, Facebook has swooped in and decided to buy up the company at the tune of $1 billion. The purchase, which is the largest acquisition by Facebook to date, may leave some people worrying about the future of Instagram. With such a popular social media site having control of arguably the most popular photo app, will they shut down the posting of photos to other sites? The answer is no. Mark Zuckerberg assured users that things will not change,
“We think the fact that Instagram is connected to other services beyond Facebook is an important part of the experience.”
