While the hype surrounding quad core processors has surely died down since the Mobile World Congress back in February, Samsung has just flipped the script and brought quad cores back to relevance. Samsung has announced that a 1.4GHz Exynos quad core processor will be running their upcoming flagship phone, the Samsung Galaxy S III. Samsung says that the new quad core processor will have double the power of their current processors.
Hankil Yoon, Senior VP of Product Strategy Team at Samsung explained that,
“Samsung’s next Galaxy device, which will be officially announced soon, offers uncompromised performance and ground breaking multitasking features, thanks to Exynos 4 Quad’s powerful performance and efficient energy management technology.”

Just when you thought the unlocked Samsung Galaxy Nexus could go no lower, Google has defined all odds. Google has posted the unlocked Galaxy Nexus for $399 in the new section “Devices” in the Google Play Store. The 16GB contract free Galaxy Nexus only works on GSM networks (T-Mobile, AT&T).
Google is also throwing in a $10 credit for Google Wallet, the company’s mobile payment service. This deal is literally out of this world and we can imagine that many fans will be running to the Google Play Store to buy their unlocked Ice Cream Sandwich Galaxy Nexus.

While the trailer gives nothing away about the device it gives us a hint that Samsung believes this device to be of another galaxy. What do you think the Samsung Galaxy S III will look like? Let us know in the comments after the break.
Rumors are constantly flooding the web, its part of the technology world. But what we just stumbled upon may be more then just a rumor.
A Vietnamese site has just posted a video of them playing around with the new Samsung Galaxy S III. Where did it come from? We don’t know. What we do know from the leak is that Samsung has decided to go with a 4.6-inch display with a 720 x 1184 resolution. A 1.4 GHz processor and 1GB of RAM keeps this Ice Cream Sandwich phone running like clockwork. On the back is a 8-megapixel camera with a 2050 mAh battery with NFC capabilities. The sight of a 2050 mAh battery is exceptional news as Samsung had promised that upcoming 2012 released phones would feature larger batteries. Storage wise there is 16GB included on the phone as well as a microSD slot for added memory.
One may argue that this whole video is fabricated and false, however, with Samsung’s official announcement right around the corner, we believe that this is the real deal.
Check out the video after the break.
Update: Looks as if the posting of the YouTube video was a mistake as the video has now been made private. Hmm, things are getting quite interesting now.
